Fairy-tales and crispness

This morning, as I was walking Jael, the world looked like a fairy-tale land, all the grass and fall leaves were frosted over, and each individual strand of grass made me think of elvish popsicles…
The air was incredibly cold, it was already 9:30 and it was still freezing, but everything was so pristine and beautiful, the sheer look of it all enchanted me.
Jael, rambunctious as she is, went for a run and ran through (amongst other things) a sandbox, her paws didn’t leave any marks in sand that is otherwise so pliable. I decided to give it a go too, and I had to make an effort to make as much as an imprint on the frozen sand. (Which means the cold must have been pretty intense)
This was the first morning I really noticed the cold, I can’t say for sure it’s the first night we had temperatures below zero, but it certainly felt *really* cold.
Maybe that’s why I’m so cheerful, or it was the 11+ hours of sleep I had last night, or a combination, whatever it is, I feel like I’m on top of the world, I’m cheerful, I’m happy, and although my back hurts, suddenly it doesn’t appear to be so hard to live with it anymore :-)

Basically, I’m having a tremendously good day :-) The world is crisp, the music on my headphones is perfect for my mood and life can only go forward from here, nothing can possibly bring my mood down today :-)
